the connection hour - a pause to be present, together
With Rachel Askelson
One Monday a month
4:30-5:30pm
Ages 2+
The Connection Hour is a gentle, guided family experience designed to help parents and children slow down, reconnect, and spend intentional time together without an agenda.
In the midst of busy schedules and full days, this hour offers space to notice one another again. To breathe, create, play, and simply be. It is not about doing more, learning something new, or getting it right. It is about presence, connection, and shared moments that feel calm and meaningful.
What the Hour Feels Like
We begin by settling in together with a brief grounding moment. A few quiet breaths. A chance to arrive fully in the space.
From there, families are invited into open exploration. You might paint together, pull a connection card, read a book, sip cacao, or play at your own pace. There is no set path and no pressure to participate in everything. The space is designed to meet you where you are.
We close by gently bringing parents and children back into connection before heading out into the rest of the week feeling a little more grounded.
Why The Connection Hour Matters
At space, we believe connection does not happen by accident. It is created through time, presence, and shared experience.
The Connection Hour gives families permission to slow down without distraction, to be side by side, and to build small moments of presence that can carry into everyday life. This is not a class. It is a pause.
